2015 Part B Therapy Payment Calculator Update
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently had an update to the conversion factor for the 2015 Part B Therapy calculator.
The factor changes from $35.8013 to $35.7547.
Additional small updates were made to the RVUs.
As a result of the changes, of the 82 therapy codes, 18 had a change in the malpractice RVU.
These ranged from an increase of .07 to a decrease of .02.
Most (15) were just a change of +/- .01.
By plugging a few of these numbers into the calculator, a RVU change of .01 changes the payment rate by about $ 0.25.
The NF PE RVU changed for 10 of the 82 codes and all of these were very small changes:
- 8 codes had a RVU increase of .01.
- 2 codes decreases of .01 and .02.
