Episcopal Ministries for the Aging's Copper Ridge Institute, which is affiliated with Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, developed 2 free assessment tools that can help determine a person is at increased risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder.
- Assessment one is designed for individuals who are concerned about their own memory loss.
- Assessment two is designed for loved ones to take if they are worried about a loved one's risk for dementia.
Users are encouraged to print out their results to share with a health care provider to learn more about what they can do to help themselves or loved one.
Participation is anonymous, but the answers provided will be used by Copper Ridge Institute and Johns Hopkins to develop better ways to detect cognitive impairement among older adults.
