University Retirement Community Appoints New Executive Director, Matt Neal
Matt Neal has been hired as the new executive director of
University Retirement Community (URC). Mr. Neal recently served as director of operations for a large multi-facility retirement living organization based in Carmichael, CA, and he brings 15 years of aging services experience in operations, strategic planning, and start-ups.
Mr. Neal is a veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. He earned his bachelor’s degree with a concentration in health care administration from California State University, Sacramento. He’s a licensed California Nursing Home Administrator and a Certified Administrator for Residential Care Facilities for the Elder.
“A great deal of time and consideration was put into the final decision,” says Mike Morris, COO for PRS. “PRS executive staff, URC board members, URC department directors, and an ad hoc subcommittee of URC residents all participated in the selection process, and we are very happy to welcome Matt to the PRS/URC family. His professional experience will be a valuable asset, and we’re confident he’ll do a great job serving URC residents.”
