Speaker Brief

Prepare for your participation as a speaker in the LeadingAge Annual Meeting and understand your speaker responsibilities!

Resources & Policies
    • Make sure your content addresses the information outlined in the session description; don’t deviate from the learning objectives.
    • Prepare your remarks to cover the full 60 minutes allotted for each session; don’t end sessions early.
    • Limit panels to no more than four (4) speakers; ensure each can contribute meaningfully to the discussion.
    • Tailor the information to the intended audience; be specific about the topic’s relevance and applicability.
    • Avoid focusing on a specific product or service; describe what you do and how it can benefit providers and older adults.
    • Don’t distribute promotional materials and/or solicit contact information from session attendees.

  • Sessions are intended to educate and should not be used as a forum to sell, promote, or market a specific product or service. Therefore, distributing promotional materials in sessions or soliciting business cards/contact information from session attendees is strictly prohibited.

    • Access to a master registration list is provided to all conference attendees to facilitate peer networking and may not be used for promotional purposes.
    • Attendees may opt-in during their registration process to receive promotional communications from business firms who have purchased an exhibit or event sponsorship.
    • LeadingAge does not sell or provide attendee lists to third parties; please beware of companies claiming they have our attendee list.
    • Individual session attendance lists are not provided; LeadingAge does not share information about session attendees with speakers.
  • To minimize disruptions to the learning environment, protect the privacy of session attendees, and honor the intellectual property rights of speakers, audio recording, video recording, and live broadcasting of sessions is NOT permitted.
