8-H. Can Technology Improve Health Outcomes in Senior Housing?

The future of senior housing depends on its ability to support residents' health through rigorous data collection and analysis, accurate measurement of health outcomes, and responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI). This session will showcase how an affordable senior housing community used data from three interventions—telehealth, AI-enhanced fall detection, and remote patient monitoring—to help residents manage chronic diseases, avoid emergency transfers, and improve access to services. Presenters will show you how to capture data and build dashboards so clinical and operational teams can track residents' health and take timely action. You'll learn to evaluate AI tools for safety and bias and to establish practices that ensure consent, privacy, and transparency.
